I am such a bad blogger, I don't update with any regularity, but you know what? I'm ok with that.
Yesterday's food intake included:
a cup of home brewed coffee at work
a cup of orange juice
an everything bagel toasted with butter
a 12 oz double Americano-from coffeehouse 5 on k-worth and albina
2 quesadillas-one with tomato and nectarine and cheese, one with just cheese, a scant amount of salsa to dip said quesadillas into
1/4 a banana
the remainder of the nectarine
glass after glass of water-it was freaking hot!
a 16 oz. chocolate milkshake(yum!)-from piedmont deli, located next door to the florida room
2 Hub IPA's
the "weeping tiger" sandwhich-tofu cutlets, avacado, hot sauce, something else that I am forgetting, with a side of black eyed peas-from the Bye and Bye
the sandwhich and the peas were pretty spicy.

The service at the b and b is crap. Everytime I go there I think this, and declare I am not going back. I met Kayla there at 9 last night, a Thursday, and it was packed ot the gills. kayla was seated outside at a picnic table with 2 guys I didn't recognize and when I asked her who they were she explained she was just sitting at their table cos there was no other available spot. By the time I got a beer from the bar they had left so we had our own table for a few minutes before the door man came around announcing that the front patio was shutting down in 10 minutes.
To be fair I did go there on Monday night with Rob, for one beer and it wasn't as bad as it was last night, or other times I've been there but the majority of my experiences as a patron hav ebeen negative. The bartenders ignore you for as long as possible, people apparently do not understand how to queu up, even if you are just trying to close your tab out it takes 5 or more minutes to get th ebartenders attention. When you finally get noticed you are not gretted with any sort of Hey Hows it going but are just demanded to give your order. I tried to tell my bartender where I would be seated for my sandwhich order adn he just barked at me to take my number with me. I understand the system, man, but with such a huge crowd it seemed obvious that it'd be helpful to say where I'd be.
It's probably more calm at happy hour or before, but for as many times as I've gone there since it opened I am not impressed with the scene there. People rave abou tthe food as well and seriosuly? I have tried several of the all vegan menu items and though some of them are good, none of them are anything to write home about. The best thing they have is probably "the meatball sub"on their late night menu and even that is something you could make at home super easily-and way cheaper.
so I guess this is good- bye and bye...

I want to check out the Radio Room, and have wanted to since it opened, but anyone I suggest this too seems too put off by what they think of as "too posh" or whatever. As someone who is interested in seeing what is out there I find it a bit ridiculous to scoff at a place if you haven't tried it. So, next time I feel the need to grab a drink on Alberta it will be there, and not at the Bye and Bye.

I am now going to go make a smoothie for breakfast.
